The Archie & Isidore Hotel

Small but charming rooms and lovely amenities. We stayed two nights. The walls are very thin but the first night was quiet. The second night there was a guest watching TV and talking loudly until very late. Otherwise great place to stay.

Modest outside appeal but the room was spacious, very clean, well appointed with very considerate amenities including EV chargers, very quiet even though right in the center of town. No restaurant on site but great recommendations for B,L,D. All in all, we felt well taken care of. We had a great stay, highly recommend.

The Archie & Isadore is a delightful inn in Cheticamp. You check yourself in, which is super convenient. The proprietors have thought of every possible thing, every little detail, that a traveler might need. The guest lounge on the main floor is a huge bonus. I was delighted to be able to do a load of laundry, at no additional cost, at that point in our trip. Wonderful coffee, snacks, toiletries, towels and robes in the room. Very comfortable and quiet. I would highly recommend!

Everything is so well thought out. The room is cozy, but contained 2 reading chairs as well as a desk and chair. Earplugs were even provided, but we didn't hear any road noise when the windows were closed. Nice to have complimentary laundry machines. LOVED the Nespresso machine with plenty of pods! So much better than generic Keurig ones.

Wonderful stay at Archie and Isidore. Loved sitting on the muskoka chairs with a glass of wine watching the sun go down behind the island. Loved the amenities - especially the laundry and the bar fridges in the room. The only thing I didn’t partake in was the hot tubs and it simply because it was a heat wave in Cheticamp! Loved this place. We will be back!!!!

I stayed at this place at the end of my tour of the Cabot Trail, so as for location, it was great. Although I didn't meet any proprietors or staff in person, the service was great as well - I received a text message earlier in the day that explained the check in procedure, which room I was in, where I could find the key, etc. It also gave me the code to use the hot tub. The room itself was very neat and clean, and had what you might expect in a hotel room. Bed, washroom, desk, TV, wifi, towels. It also had a small basket full of snacks, which I thought was a nice touch (I promptly devoured the Aero bar). The building seemed more like a home than a hotel. There was a common sitting room that had a fridge stocked with small food items like yogurt cups, and there was also a laundry machine. The hotel is close to restaurants, but then again, the town is small enough that most things in town are walking distance from each other. Of course, I guess that would depend on your definition of walking distance and how much time you have.

We had room 8 which is in a separate building behind the main house in the upstairs suite...it was lovely! Nice and clean and really nicely decorated with everything we needed for a comfortable nights rest! There are two hot tubs available for guests use eith plenty of towels in the room. We enjoyed the complimentary chocolate bars....thank you!

A lovely spot to rest for the night while travelling the Cabot Trail. The building has been restored and decorated beautifully. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. We didn't find Cheticamp to offer much in the way of things to see or do - maybe we missed something. But the hotel itself was charming.
